Dear All,

I’m am canvassing your opinions as to how the site can be improved. We will be working on the overall design of the website in the next few months, all going to plan, and as we seen to have some very active members I felt it was only appropriate that I should ask what suggestions you have about the updating and improvements of the site at large.

Thanks Justin

Hi Justin

The only note worth observation I have is that 80% of all posts are within implementation section. Perhaps we could have some sub forums within there ? i dont really see this as a problem thou, just an idea
;)

Of course you could embed the OS mapping into the home page to map where all the HA’s are :D

Just one little thing. As I am lazy, could you add the option to stay logged in if people want to? As far as I can see there is no option to change this on our personal settings, but is probably a global setting somewhere in phpBB.

Thanks for the suggestions I’m looking into the "stay logged in option", but you’ll also note that I have been doing some rearranging which will continue as more posts appear.

Thanks Justin

PS, any other suggestions are welcome.

Having thought about it, I’m not so sure it is a feature that phpBB has by standard. I go on a couple of boards, and I get logged out of them all.

By the way, do you get loads of spam coming your way still using phpBB? I was the admin on a Rovers board a while back and at one point was getting about 200 application requests a day – used to drive me bonkers!

Would it also be possible to have small surveys / questionnaires?

Hi
Following on from Andy’s suggestion to actually have some mapping I will look at some options. I would like to introduce an[url=http://openspace.ordnancesurvey.co.uk:ecqa75ka]OS OpenSpace API[/url:ecqa75ka] which could show various options. These could be a list of members but we could also look at all Housing Associations. Would probably be all HAs over a certain size. Clearly to do this we would need a data source. I will speak with NHF but can anyone suggest another source of HA or social housing information?
It might be good to include Name – Main Address – Total No of Properties managed – web link

Hi Nick

The "View active topics" function doesn’t appear to work and I rely on this to keep up to date with any new posts. is it working for anyone else?

As for openspace, i’ll have a read about that when i have some spare time (maybe in December) perhaps we can just out forum members up for now and develop from there?
